She just stared at him, she didn’t believe this at all but she wasn’t going to tell him that. “What happens when this over?” She asked instead. He didn’t answer right away. “If you want to leave, then you guys leave.” She nodded again. “Until it’s time for us to reproduce of course.” He added. Whoa, what? “Calm down Red, I was partially joking I have Sam.” He smirked she glared. Sam was the wolf with light red hair and the dark gray eyes.

She herself had red hair of a way darker shade that almost looked black and her eyes were a pale purple that always popped against her creamy skin she got the nickname Red because when the sun hit her hair it really showed how red it actually was.

“Why don’t you go eat and then go get cleaned up.” Ryker said as he stood. “I’ll introduce you afterwards.” As soon as they were done eating they quickly hit the hall upstairs Trinity began speaking. “We have to get out of here.” Trinity whispered. “We have to be smart about this; they’re going to be watching us.” She whispered back. Trinity nodded. They had been given a shared room apparently and were following the directions to it. The door was already open so they walked in. It was a simple cozy room with two double beds, a TV on the wall, two dressers and an attached bathroom.

She was happy when she saw her guild uniform washed and neatly folded on one bed and Trinity’s on another. She let Trinity shower first and she waited still trying to form a plan in her head and coming up short. She showered after that and they left the room together. Her mind asking, what if, what if Ryker was telling her the truth? He had no reason to lie. She honestly was never that interested in meeting her parents, figuring they just gave her up for adoption or something. If they had been forced to give her up and killed by the very ones who raised her then that was a problem.

“You ready to get this over with?” She asked Trinity. “Might as well.” It didn’t take them long to find Ryker. He was in the open living room with the red head straddling him and their faces were glued together. She got lycans were touchy but seriously? She cleared her throat to get his attention. Samantha looked over at them before Ryker could, she latched onto his face and gave a deep throaty moan that caused her and Trinity to burst into laughter at the same time. “Was that supposed to be sexy?” She asked laughing. “You sound like a constipated man.” Trinty added laughing with her.

Ryker chocked on a laugh and Samantha pulled back and glared at him. “Glad that was so funny.” She shoved off him and stormed away giving them a lethal look. They just smiled at her and then at Ryker. “You made her mad, again.” He sighed. “The first time was all her fault.” Trinity shrugged and she agreed. “You two are bad news together.” Ryker shook his head and gestured for them to follow him. They did quietly looking around the house. It was pretty dang big she was trying to figure out how many living rooms it had when he led them into a large theater game room. Every single person in the room stopped what they were doing and stared at her and her friend.

Talk about awkward, this was top notch. There were at least fifteen people in here a lycan with what looked like dark blue hair caught her attention and he winked at her, she couldn’t help but smile at him. Alice, the pretty lycan that had brought her, her clothes yesterday gave them a friendly smile and so did the girl across from her that had a fade and gauges in her ears. Jackson was here with the round faced brunette she figured was his girlfriend grinning at them.

“Everyone, this is Raelynn and Trinity. As you know your other Alpha and Beta, I expect them to be treated with nothing other than respect and once their wolves are awakened I’m sure that won’t be an issue. They’re going to help us with Bristow, any questions?” He finished with. A girl with shoulder length black hair and a giant chest spoke. “Ry, are you really going to mate with her?” She poked out a lip. “Yeah, what about you Jackson are you going for that?” A rough looking guy said.

They called it mating that made it seem so setup, like they would just pencil it in on their calendars or something. “We will never be doing that.” she said before Ryker could. He gave her a look she gave him one back. “Neither will he be going for anything.” Trinity dryly stated. No one in the room spoke but then everyone spoke at once asking them questions and wanting to know about them. “Have fun.” Ryker winked at them and left. She inwardly groaned but put on her happy face to interact with them she wasn’t going to remember half their names so she didn’t even bother focusing on them. She and Trinity sat on the couch in the room answering questions, being hugged and being smelled. That was weird but it was their way of doing things.

The blue haired lycan was named Parker, he was pretty cute. He had dimples and his neat but messy hair gave him an edge. He told her if she ever wanted a good time come find him. Yeah, she wasn’t a virgin but she would not be taking a lycan to bed even if he was nice to look at. Alice and the girl across from her Venus were super cool and open towards them. Most were actually except for a few of the girls and one or two guys. She knew this wasn’t half of the Aticous pack just who lived around the home base and here.

Another bonfire was started later that evening, not feeling very festive they slipped away to go back to their rooms. She contemplated running but her head was telling her that if what they had been told was true they had no choice but to at least try and stop the Bristow’s.

They were almost at another set of stairs when they heard voices. “They kill our kind and you just let them live here.” Samantha hissed. “They were raised that way, they are our kind Sam.” Ryker sounded like he had been saying this for awhile now. “Look we need them, you guys know that.” Jackson stated. They crept passed and went to their room silently. “Do you think they were telling the truth?” Trinity asked now that they were lying in their beds. “I’m starting to think so.” She stared up at the ceiling. She wondered what their parents were like. She wondered if they even stood a chance against this Bristow clan.

That’s how she fell asleep wondering about so many things. She woke up to the smell of breakfast in the air, her stomach growled on cue. She found the dresser stocked with her uniform replicas and some other clothes but she pretty much lived in the uniform anyway so she showered and put on the same thing but put her hair in a fishtail braid for today. Trinity groggily woke up as she was exiting the bathroom. “Get up, I’ll wait for you.” She bounced a pillow off her friend’s head that mumbled a curse word at her and got out of bed.

She wanted to find a laptop or something here to look up this Bristow clan, they had never been shown what they looked like just told about them and that may have been one of the only actual truths their guild had taught them about the outer world. They thought the other races were scared of them, that was a huge miscalculation they were planning on wiping them out and they would not be ready for it. So even if she hated them for the possible lies and stealing her and Trinity’s parents away she was not going to stand aside and let some giant egotistical ass wipe out the whole human race one by one. So it looked like they did have some training to do, they needed to be ready.

  Chapter four

They headed downstairs following the smell of the food. Trinity was in her uniform as well and had her blonde hair in a chic smooth bun. As they walked in to the dining room where a make shift buffet had been set up she saw Jackson eyeing her friend up and down. She raised her brows at him and he winked so she glared and he broke out in a grin. She shook her head and picked up a plate. After she loaded her plate with eggs, bacon and a biscuit she sat at the table with Trinity. Jackson sat directly across from them.

“Do you have internet here?” She asked after taking a bite of her eggs. “This is the modern world Red, were not cavemen.” Ryker answered her walking into the room. “Stop calling me that.” She snapped. “Why?” He pulled a chair out and sat with some sausage and a bowl of oatmeal. “Only friends call me that.” She sipped her orange juice. “We aren’t friends?” He asked with a smile. She wasn’t even going to respond that. “I have a laptop you can use.” She nodded and focuse
d on her food.

After breakfast she milled around for a little with Trinity waiting for this training the brothers were talking about. Almost exactly at noon they found them in the game room engaged in a game of Mario Kart. “You ready?” Ryker asked from the doorway. They turned the game off and followed him through the house. He looked amazing dressed in all navy under armor hugging his body. He glanced back and she quickly looked at the ground but he had caught her.

“It’s okay Red I won’t tell.” He laughed. Trinity gave her a questioning glance and she just shrugged pretending to be oblivious. They went down a set of stairs and entered into a very large open gym. It had hard wood flooring with separate area of mats spread out, punching bags, a row of treadmills and a weapons wall. They were well skilled with weaponry so this wasn’t a concern. “You’re with me.” Jackson said coming down the stairs to Trinity. She shrugged and followed him to a matt. That left her and Ryker.

“Alright let’s see what you can really do.” He spun and put some space between them on their own large square mat. She took a steadying breath, she could do this.

He gave no warning when he lunged forward at a crazy break neck speed and she dodged him and turned so she was behind him; he quickly turned and moved so fast he was behind her the next instant with his arms around her. She slammed her elbow into his stomach not trying to be gentle. He grunted and almost took her down but she flipped and kneed him in the balls. He made an oomph sound and grabbed his little Rykers.

She laughed waiting on him to get it together and glanced to where Jackson had been using the same method on Trinity who flipped him onto the mat laughing. “You’re pretty good.” He stood straight now. “I was trying to go easy on you but you’re clearly not as generous.” She held up her palms. “You won’t teach me anything by going easy on me.” He grinned and gestured for her to get ready again. She didn’t think it was possible but he moved quicker than he had the first time.

She almost moved fully out of the way but he hit her shoulder hard and she almost fell from the force of it. She barely dodged his next move and managed to land a blow to his face but before she could pull her arm back down he had her flipped onto her back on the mat. She took advantage of his cockiness and kicked his legs out from underneath him he went down and she rolled on top of him and pinned him. “Ha, got cha!” she grinned down at his face. The feeling she felt the first time she did this started and she quickly got back up.

“Alright funs over, no more games.” He gritted out. She raised her brows at him and got ready. Seemed Ryker was a poor sport. When he came this time she didn’t even have time to move, or the next and the time after that. She finally started fighting dirty after the millionth time he came at her. She faked left went right spun and grabbed his hair and yanked. “Ouch, fuck!” He elbowed her hard and she said something similar and kicked him harder sending him flying forward.

They were no longer training after this point, they were almost actually fighting they were short of actually squaring up and swinging at each other. She knew she had bruises and every time he got one she watched it start to heal before her eyes. She was actually getting mad. She finally said screw it and tackled him full force.

They rolled around on the mat flipping each other and cursing. He finally started laughing as he rolled her and pinned her. “What the hell are we doing Red?” He asked putting his head on hers like he had before. She was heaving and started to laugh with him. This was ridiculous. He leaned up and stared down at her. “You’re really gorgeous.” He said quietly. That was the cue the movement moment to get him off of her. “Uh, thanks. We should probably get up.” He quickly got off of her and helped her up. They looked across the gym to where Jackson and Trinity stood both with identical smirks just watching them.

“I think that’s enough for today.” She couldn’t agree more. They all made their way out of the basement and up the stairs. She hadn’t trained or even tussled like that in a long time. She desperately wanted another shower. “That was awesome.” Trinity laughed to her as they got back to their room. “That was painful.” She snorted in response. She went through and got in the shower. The hot water was heaven. She stayed in for about thirty minutes before stepping out and throwing on a bra gray lacey bra and matching boy shorts. “Hey are you….” She was going to ask but Trinity wasn’t in the room instead Ryker was.

“I was bringing you the laptop.” He held up a thin green rectangle. He eyed her body and smirked. “Look your already embracing your wolf.” She scoffed. “Actually this covers me more than a bikini.” She was comfortable in her own body. She was thin and curvy she knew she didn’t look bad naked or in this case half naked. It was at this moment Samantha was walking down the hallway. She glanced in and then did a double take seeing Ryker. Here we go. She sighed.

“What the hell is this Ryker?” She stared at him angrily. “Sam I just was on top of you less than twenty minutes ago be a little realistic.” He groaned while she made a face at that less than appealing vision. She turned her glare on her. “I know what you’re doing.” She just looked at her. “Yeah, waiting on you both to go away and argue somewhere else.” She took the laptop from him and he looked at her before taking Samantha’s arm and leading her out of the room. She had no idea how he dealt with that it would drive her insane. She put on her cupcake pajama shorts and matching tank and settled on her bed to do some digging.

  CHAPTER FIVE

She had just turned the laptop on and was waiting on it to load when Trinity came back carrying two bottles of water. She tossed her one and slid on her bed with her. “What are we doing?” She asked her as she opened a web browser. “I’m going to see what I can find about the Bristow’s online. She typed in B and then R in the search engine and the name popped up as one of the suggestions automatically.

A million site suggestions and some images came up. She clicked on the first suggestion on the page.

It didn’t say much just that the Bristow’s had bought an old plantation farm and had it remolded. She moved the cursor down the webpage and stopped scrolling when she came to an image. It had Declan and Mason Bristow written beneath it. “Look at them; they’re supposed to be evil?” Trinity asked as she leaned closer to the screen. She was looking at them; it should be a crime to look as good as they did. Declan had short sexy hair in a side part, stubble on his face and electric blue eyes. He looked pretty tall but he had a nice figure. Mason looked just like him except he had sandy brown hair. They were mouthwatering. What a shame they had to die.

Trinity went to take a shower and she kept browsing sucking in any information about them she could find. She found picture after picture. Their older brother looked like a cross of the two of them. They had a huge amount of supporters. That wasn’t a good thing. If those same supporters stood with them when this whole shebang happened they were in big trouble. She made a mental note to ask Ryker or Jackson how large their own numbers were. She didn’t find any good dirty secrets out like she wanted to but at least she knew what they looked like now.

She could have killed Ryker and Frankie, one of his lycans the next morning. She was having one of those warm cozy never get out of bed sleeps when one of them dumped ice cold water all over her and Trinity who woke up screeching at the same time she did. “What the hell is your deal?!” She yelled jumping out of bed. “It’s time to go run, wake that wolf up.” Ryker said laughing. She glanced at the digital clock on the nightstand.

“It’s five forty five in the morning.” She growled out. “We leave at six, wear your uniform. You need to be used to wearing what you run in.” Trinity glared at him “Run, run where exactly?” Her friend asked tying her blonde hair in a ponytail. “You’ll see when we go, be downstairs by six.” He and Frankie left after that.

So she and Trinity rushed to brush their teeth and get dressed. They ended up downstairs right before six hit. All of the lycans she had seen before were waiting by the front door. “Alright, you guys know the drill. Let’s head
out.” Jackson said strolling towards the front door. Well she and Trinity didn’t know the drill. “Just keep up and follow us.” Ryker said walking passed them and they all filed out of the house. “Let’s go!” Ryker yelled and the whole group broke out into a run straight across the open barren fields.

“This sucks.” Trinity groaned as they started to follow them. It wasn’t even all the way daylight yet. She paced herself so she didn’t wear herself out and Trinity did the same beside her. They weren’t too far back from the group of lycans when she saw them start to shift. One minute they were running and the next they were wolves shooting forward. “Are we really expected to keep up with them?” She breathed out still keeping her steady pace. “That’s not going to happen.” Trinity breathed out back to her.

They had been running maybe twenty minutes and she was starting to feel it. The field suddenly ended and they were running on a trail in a heavily wooded area. The humidity was suffocating. The trail suddenly veered in two separate directions and she had no idea where the wolves had gone they had lost sight of them ten minutes back. “I say we go as straight as possible.” She pointed to the path just slightly off of the one they had already been running on. “Let’s just get this over with.” Trinity sighed and they set off at a brisk pace.
